Oracle to Zoho Books, entity by entity
For companies on Oracle NetSuite or Oracle financials who want simpler books at a lower running cost. We map your subsidiaries, segments and customisations first, then move each entity's ledgers and close a month in both systems before you switch.

Oracle's structure, carried into Zoho Books
Shown for NetSuite. Oracle E-Business Suite and Fusion follow the same mapping from General Ledger, Receivables and Payables exports.
The part most Oracle migrations underestimate
The data is the easier half. Years of customisation is the harder one, so we count it before quoting.
Custom records and fields
Listed, then sorted into keep, simplify and drop. Most systems carry fields nobody has used in years.
Scripts
Each script is read for what it does, and rebuilt as a workflow rule or a custom function only if the business still needs it.
Approvals
Purchase, bill and journal approval chains are rebuilt with the same limits and the same approvers.
Saved searches
We ask each team which searches they open. Those are rebuilt, and the rest are archived.
Integrations
Banks, payment gateways, e-commerce and payroll connections are listed and re-pointed to Zoho Books.
Intercompany
Balances between entities are agreed on both sides before they are brought in.
How an Oracle migration runs
Six steps, ending with a month closed in both systems.
Inventory of your Oracle setup
Entities, segments, customisations, integrations and reports are counted and written up as a migration plan.
Design the Zoho structure
Organisations, chart of accounts, tags, roles and approval limits.
Build
Zoho Books for each entity, then workflows, functions, templates and reports.
Migrate one entity first
A pilot entity goes first, so problems show up early and on a small scale.
Migrate the rest and reconcile
Trial balance, ageing and intercompany balances are compared for every entity.
Parallel close
One month-end is closed in both systems. You switch when the two sets of results agree.
Questions about leaving Oracle
Which Oracle products do you migrate from?
Mostly Oracle NetSuite. We also move finance data from Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud financials, working from exports provided by your Oracle team.
Can Zoho Books handle several entities and currencies?
Yes. Each legal entity runs as its own Zoho Books organisation with its own currency and tax setup, and branches run as locations. Group reports are built in Zoho Analytics.
We have years of scripts and customisation. Is that a blocker?
Rarely, but it is where the effort goes. We read each customisation, rebuild what is still needed with workflow rules and custom functions, and tell you plainly where Zoho Books cannot do the same thing.
Is Zoho Books big enough for us?
It suits small and mid-sized companies. If your volumes, revenue recognition rules or consolidation needs go beyond it, we say so in the migration plan.
How do we time this against our Oracle renewal?
Tell us the renewal date at the start. We plan the parallel close to finish before it, with a margin, so you are not forced to renew for a short overlap.
Moving from a different system?
The same team handles each of these. Every one ends with balances reconciled against the system you are leaving.
